Privat und inzwischen auch beruflich beschäftige ich mich mit verschiedenen Linux Distributionen wie OpenSuSE, Debian, RedHat EL, freeBSD, Arch Linux, SecurePlatform(Splat).
Aktuell zu hause in der Stube ein HTPC - Media Center mit Freevo auf der Distribution Arch Linux.

Software Installation:
- HTPC (Arch Linux Version 2008.06 mit Kernel 2.6.25.6 auf i686 Architektur) läuft Freevo Version 1.8.1-4, Mediaplayer: MPlayer Version 1.0rc2-6 und Xine Version 0.99.5-4.

- 4047.06 BogoMIPS.

- mögliche Taktfrequenzen: 2.00 GHz, 1.80 GHz, 1000 MHz
- momentane Taktfrequenz ist 1000 MHz  (verifiziert durch Nachfrage bei der Hardware).
- Verbrauch 60W bei 100% idle

- Server (SuSE Linux 8.2 Professional mit Kernel 2.4.20-4GB) läuft eine Firewall (iptables), Apache (local), Squid Proxy mit SquidGuard, DHCP, Dynamic DNS, CD-Brenner, Postfix (local) mit AntiVir Mail-Scanner und spamassassin Spam Filter, vsftpd (local) als File-Server. Mit 100 MBit sind die Rechner verbunden. Wird mit Webmin und SSH Administiert.
